Giorgia Ferrara

Giorgia Ferrara obtained her M.Sc. degree in telecommunications engineering from the University of Catania, Italy.

Since February 2014, she has been a full-time researcher in the Electronics and Communications Engineering Department at Tampere University of Technology, Finland, where, as a fellow of the MULTI-POS Marie Curie Initial Training Network, she is also pursuing her Ph.D. studies.

Alexey Bolkunov

Alexey Bolkunov is the head of PNT regulatory framework development laboratory in the Positioning, Navigation and Timing Center, Central Scientific Research Institute of Machine Building in Korolyov, Russia, which he joined in 2007.

A graduate of Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University), he received his Ph.D. from the same institute.

Bolkunov’s research interests include GNSS performance and PNT legal and regulatory framework studies.

Guy Buesnel

Guy Buesnel is the PNT security technologist at Spirent Communications’ Position, Navigation & Timing business unit.

He has more than 16 years’ industry experience in protecting GNSS receivers from emerging threats.

Buesnel holds an M.Sc. in communications engineering and a B.Sc. in physics with atmospheric physics.

He is a Chartered Physicist, a Member of the Institute of Physics and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation in 2015.

John Pottle is the marketing director at Spirent Communications’ Position, Navigation & Timing business unit, in the United Kingdom.

He holds a B.Sc. in communication engineering and an MBA. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering Technology and a Fellow and member of Council of the Royal Institute of Navigation.

Pottle spent 12 years in satellite communications & broadcasting but has been working on GPS/GNSS with Spirent since 2003.

A. Kartik obtained his M.E. (Avionics Eng) from Anna University, Chennai.

As a project manager for GAGAN–Indian Satellite-Based Augmentation System, he contributed to executing the project, deploying and certifying the system.

Presently Kartik heads the Navigation Data Processing and Application Division of ISRO’s Space Navigation Group contributing to IRNSS Navigation software.

Sumitesh Sarkar

Sumitesh Sarkar received his bachelor of engineering from the University of Calcutta and his MTech from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

He joined Space Applications Centre–ISRO, in 1987 and worked for the design and development of RF subsystems for INSAT/GSAT payloads. He later joined the System Engineering Division in the same organization, which is responsible for the system engineering activities of communication and navigation payloads.

Antonio Mariani

Antonio Mariani is a system designer who participated actively in the ERP design and testing activities, generating some of the software layers of the ERP Test Bed including the orbital propagator and the channel emulator controller, and the measurement routines for the time and frequency transfer figure of merit.

He has experience in SBAS, GPS, and Galileo systems and position, velocity, and time (PVT) solution algorithms.
