Alexis Bose

Alexis Bose is a system design engineer from the University of Waterloo.

Although he was accepted to the University of McGill for a Master’s in Signal Processing, Alexis chose to work as a DSP/FPGA Engineer for eight years and as a research engineer at the Communications Research Centre (CRC) Canada for the last five years.

Alexis enjoys solving real world problems, by developing a concept and carrying it through to implementation.

Goff lives and works in the Chicago area, where he spent 17 years as a senior editor and executive editor for Advanstar Communications business-to-business magazines. Earlier, he was a sports editor for Sun Publications.

u-blox GNSS Module Featured in Tracking Device

Thalwil, Switzerland-based u-blox has announced that two of its products have been used by Cobilsys to create a small, battery-powered asset tracking device.

Cobilsys’ ATPACK tracker measures 53 by 48 by 15 millimeters and can be used to track the location of cars, motorcycles, and pets, the company said. The product uses a u-blox EVA-M8M, the industry’s smallest GNSS module, which works with GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou, the company said.
