The future-oriented Navigation Technology Satellite-3 (NTS-3) spacecraft has taken one more step towards its in-space demonstration, scheduled for 2023. The satellite bus that will carry it has arrived at L3Harris Technologies of Palm Bay, Florida, delivered by Northrop Grumman Corporation.

When the White House submits its budget request for the Department of Defense to Congress every year, that is not the final word. The different military services also send Congress their unfunded priority lists, which detail the projects the White House chose to forego but, the services hope, Congress will add back in. I read with great enthusiasm Dee Ann Divis’ article New Chimera Signal Enhancement Could Spoof-Proof GPS Receivers. Logan Scott is one of the brightest people I know, and I very much enjoyed his presentation about Chimera last week at the National PNT Advisory Board’s public meeting in Alexandria, Virginia.
