In recent years, the railway segment – including industry, service providers and R&D – has led and developed a portfolio of innovative solutions to increase cost effectiveness, improve passengers’ experience and enhance the safety of rail transport.
The European GNSS Agency (GSA), Shift2rail Joint Undertaking, the European Union Agency for Railways, and the Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology of Austria are joining forces and organizing a two-day event gathering the railway main stakeholders, industry, and user communities.
Space for Innovation in Rail is slated to be held March 18-19, 2019, in Palais Wertheim, Vienna. The aim of the event is to share the vision and roadmap of space technologies for the future of railways in Europe, what is their role in innovation and digitalization, with a special focus on progress and implementation of GNSS for rail.
