ICG Workshop on Interoperability

The International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems will hold a workshop to discuss interoperability among the world’s GNSSes and satellite-based augmentation systems at the Residenz Munchen immediately before the 2009 Munich Satellite Navigation Summit.

The meeting will focus on the issues of compatibility and interoperability from the point of view of equipment manufacturers and end users.

The meeting will focus on the issues of compatibility and interoperability from the point of view of equipment manufacturers and end users.

Providers from the United States, Europe, Russia, Japan, China and India will report on their respective systems. After that, discussions will be held on interoperability and the folllowing system and service characteristics: signals, system time and geodetic reference frame standards, performance standards versus actual performance, services and policies, and timetables for system deployment and operation.
