LabSat, a leader in GNSS signal record, replay and simulation solutions, has extended its LabSat 4 product range with the introduction of three distinct variants: LabSat 4, LabSat 4 Core, and LabSat 4 Lite.
These additions offer engineers and developers scalable solutions tailored to a variety of applications, testing needs, and budgets.
LabSat 4 remains the most advanced option in the series, delivering up to 12-bit I&Q quantization and the capability to record and replay external data, including CAN-FD, RS232, and digital inputs. Designed for rigorous GNSS signal testing, it offers exceptional precision and customization to meet modern testing demands.
LabSat 4 Core mirrors the original LabSat 4 in all aspects except for its quantization, which is limited to a maximum of 4-bit I&Q. Offering an extensive feature set at a highly competitive price, it is ideal for test applications that do not require the highest signal capture resolution.
LabSat 4 Lite is optimized for cost-effective testing, featuring streamlined 2-bit I&Q quantization without external data recording or replay. It excels in test applications where quantization depth is not a critical factor, such as production line testing.
All LabSat 4 variants feature three RF channels with selectable bandwidths up to 60 MHz. Each channel offers adjustable quantization, with available bit-depths dependant on the model. The series also includes key functionalities such as manual gain control, multi-unit synchronization, and full backward compatibility with the LabSat 3 Wideband file format.
A significant advantage of the expanded LabSat 4 range is the option to upgrade between the models. Customers can start with LabSat 4 Lite and later upgrade to LabSat 4 Core or the full LabSat 4 simply by using a licence file. As testing needs evolve, seamless transition to more advanced capabilities is available without the need to invest in entirely new hardware. Customers can also choose between Replay-Only and Record-and-Replay models across all variants.
