ING Robotic Aviation officially opened the doors to its new facility in Ottawa earlier this week—representing another step forward in the company’s move into the commercial market.

The Hon. James Moore, minister of Industry Canada, officially opened the Ottawa–Orléans the new 4,000-square-foot office, which houses sales, R&D, marketing, and operations production.

GNSS summer school for young engineers to be held in Tokyo this August

Doctoral-level graduate students and early-career engineers, researchers and instructors from Japan and the rest of the world are invited to a weeklong summer seminar this August in Tokyo, sponsored by the Institute of Positioning, Navigation and Timing of Japan.

The summer school will take place in from August 19 through August 24 at the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT). Classes wil be held in English.

Longer Show Hours, Fewer Days for ION GNSS 2013 Exhibitors


Companies who exhibit at the Institute of Navigation GNSS conference next September will have longer exhibit hall hours to work the floor – but fewer days to do so – at the 2013 event in Nashville, Tennessee.

Based on feedback from exhibitors, ION will eliminate the Friday hours for the industry show and increase the Wednesday and Thursday hours next year.

2013 China SatNav Conference in Wuhan Calls for Papers

The fourth China Satellite Navigation Conference (CSNC 2013) has issued a call for papers to be presented at the international event scheduled May 15–17, 2013 in Wuhan, China.

The theme of CSNC 2013 is “BeiDou Application — Opportunities and Challenges” and will include an academic exchange as well as a commercial exhibition and technical forum.

Deadline for submitting abstracts is October 31, 2012. Full papers are due by December 20. Authors whose papers have been accepted will be notified by the end of February 2012.
