First Responder Locator System Technology Workshop

The third Precision Indoor Personnel Location and Tracking for Emergency Responders will take place at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts on August 4-6.

The keynote speakers are Jalal Mapar, program manager, DHS S&T Directorate and Chief Charlie Dickinson, deputy assistant administrator for the U.S. Fire Administration.

The third Precision Indoor Personnel Location and Tracking for Emergency Responders will take place at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts on August 4-6.

The keynote speakers are Jalal Mapar, program manager, DHS S&T Directorate and Chief Charlie Dickinson, deputy assistant administrator for the U.S. Fire Administration.

The focus is on systems that do not require previously installed wiring or equipment in the target building and on systems which provide complete tracking and position information to the incident command post on all active responders.

Working sessions are organized around major technical challenges

The workshop is supported by a FEMA Fire Prevention and Safety Grant. Travel grants are available to members of the first responder community.
