The European GNSS Agency (GSA) will sponsor a half-day workshop on GNSS for the regional business community at GSA headquarters, Janovkeho 438, in Prague at 8:30 a.m. on March 27.

The workshop is part of an effort to engage small and medium-sized enterprises from the Czech Republic in opportunities offered by the EU’s space programs.

In addition to SME’s, the audiece will include larger industries, representatives of foreign companies established in the Czech Republic and the press.

  • GSA presentation on opportunities available under various European Commission research and development programs
  • Results of specific projects involving SMEs under the current seventh framework program (FP7)
  • Examples of best practices, presented by industry representatives
  • Presentations by European Space Agency (ESA) Technology Transfer Program Office and the Czech Ministry of Transport
  • Introduction to the 2013 European Satellite Navigation Comptetition, presented by the contest organizers, AZO  (Anwendungszentrum GmbH Oberpfaffenhofen)

    The GS is the regulatory body of European GNSS programs. GSA
    provides security accreditation and security operations for the Galileo
    central monitoring system. It is also responsible for marketing and
    commercialization of Galileo and EGNOS systems.
