CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment 2009

The 2009 CTIA Wireless I.T. and Entertainment trade show, a major event for the wireless data industry, will take place at the San Diego Convention Center from October 7 to 9.

Of particular interest to Inside GNSS readers is the LBO Expo Pavilion, where GPS and wireless network operators, device manufacturers and application developers join end users to showcase Location Based Services.

The event focuses on applications, entwork architecture and technologies such as LBS, machine-to-machine and WiMax. Industries covered include healthcare, entertainment, fleet management and financial planning.

On Thursday morning, October 9, Qualcomm’s Irwin and Paul Jacobs will deliver a joint keynote address on how mobile Internet is bridging the physical and digital worlds.
