S. C. Ratnakara obtained his master’s degree in Mathematics from Mysore University, Karnataka, India.

He has been working in the fields of space debris simulation, modelling and decay analysis, and IRS position determination using GPS and the satnav program of ISRO.

Ratnakara is the deputy project director for IRNSS and also heads the Space Navigation Group, leading the IRNSS navigation software team.

Amedeo Arena is a tenured assistant professor at the University of Naples “Federico II” School of Law, where he teaches European Union Law and International Law, as well as a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo Graduate Schools for Law and Policy.

He graduated in law from the University of Rome, holds LLM degrees from King’s College London and New York University, and completed a Ph.D. and a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Naples “Federico II”.

Serge Bories

Serge Bories received an Engineer Diploma in Electronics in the field of Microwaves from the Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC), in Toulouse, France, and a Ph.D. degree at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Techniques Avancées (ENSTA) in Paris, France on the subject of ultrawideband (UWB) antenna design for multimedia communications.

In the last decade, Bories has worked for several national and European R&D projects on UWB systems. Recently he joined the CEA-Leti-Minatec in Grenoble, France.

She is currently in charge of the Industrial Automation and Robotics unit at the Technological Center of Components, Spain, where she focuses her researching activities on real-time control systems and navigation systems, with GPS navigation being her main area of interest.

Tech. degrees in radio physics and electronics from the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta, and a Ph.D. degree in Microwave Engineering from Gujarat University.

Since 1994, he has been with the ISRO Space Applications Centre, where he has been involved in design and development of various microwave active subsystems being used in many communication and navigation payload projects.
