Amedeo Arena

Amedeo Arena is a tenured assistant professor at the University of Naples “Federico II” School of Law, where he teaches European Union Law and International Law, as well as a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo Graduate Schools for Law and Policy.

He graduated in law from the University of Rome, holds LLM degrees from King’s College London and New York University, and completed a Ph.D. and a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Naples “Federico II”.

Arena’s main research interests are international trade law and EU competition law and their intersection with global navigation and earth observation policy. A regular speaker at international conferences, he published extensively on those topics, including two monographs and a number of articles in leading legal periodicals.

Admitted to the Bar in Italy, he provides specialist legal advice to companies and law firms and serves as national expert in several research projects commissioned by EU Institutions and international research institutes.
