The NeoRTK System from Tersus GNSS Inc.

Tersus GNSS Inc. has launched the NeoRTK System with multi technology integrated for surveyors.

The NeoRTK System is described as a new generation system by the company and is applied with multi-constellation and a multi-frequency GNSS engine and various communication protocols which aim at providing high performance and stable signal reception to meet surveyors’ demands. Featuring a high-end GNSS antenna inside, the NeoRTK can speed up the Time to First Fix (TTFF) and improve the capability of anti-jamming.

Applanix, University of Waterloo Collaborate on Advanced Technologies for Autonomous Vehicles

Applanix, a Trimble Company, announced this week that it is collaborating on advanced research for autonomous vehicle guidance and control systems with the University of Waterloo Centre in Ontario, Canada for Automotive Research (WatCAR). Applanix will provide WatCAR with its Positioning and Orientation System (POS) for testing autonomous guidance and control systems in real-world conditions. Applanix will also provide the Trimble GNSS-Inertial board set for integration with car systems and sensors to enable precise positioning.

Galileo Gains 8 Satellites; Navigation Constellation Reaches Completion

The European Space Agency (ESA) signed a contract Thursday with a German-British consortium to build eight additional satellites for its Galileo navigation constellation.

The deal, which brings the Galileo navigation constellation to completion, was signed at the International Paris Air Show with German company OHB System AG as the prime contractor, and Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd. overseeing the navigation platforms.
