Oregon technology publisher awarded United Kingdom navigation medal for GNSS Journalism

Inside GNSS editor and publisher Glen Gibbons received the Harold Spencer-Jones Medal for "outstanding contributions to navigation as a journalist and publisher" by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and husband of Elizabeth II, on behalf of the Royal Institute of Navigation at the Royal Geographical Society in London on July 15. Gibbons has been covering GPS and other space-based positioning, navigation and timing techologies since 1989.

We are counting down the days to the ION GNSS 2010, the biggest satellite navigation technical event of the year, and this September, it’s on Inside GNSS‘s home turf in beautiful downtown Portland, Oregon— known as Stumptown, for reasons you’ll see as you fly over the forests of the Pacific Northwest.

The Institute of Navigation’s 23rd GNSS show of shows opens at the Oregon Convention Center on Tuesday, September 21. The conference and industry exhibition runs through Friday, September 24.
