Voting is currently open for the Institute of Navigation’s (ION) 2019-2021 Council and Executive Committee officers. All ballots must be received by Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

To access the online ballot, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to: https://www.ion.org/governance/voting.cfm
  2. Sign in to your ION Web Account*.  Current ION members will be able to access the ballot.
  3. Mark your selections and submit the ballot by clicking the button at the bottom of the screen.

NavtechGPS Offering GNSS Operations for Engineers Course at ESA/ESTEC

NavtechGPS is offering a training seminar later month titled Course 336: GNSS Operations for Engineers at the European Space Agency (ESA/ESTEC) in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.

This 3-day course offers a comprehensive introduction to GPS/GNSS and DGPS technology, system concepts, design, operation, implementation and applications. Detailed information on the GPS signal, its processing by the receiver, and the techniques by which GPS obtains position, velocity and time will be covered, together with a full day on differential GPS.

ION Announces 2019-2021 Nominations Notice

Nominations for officers were submitted by the 2019-2021 Nominating Committee of The Institute of Navigation. The ION’s Nominating Committee was chaired by Dr. Dorota Grejner-Brzezinska and included three representatives from each region.

Additional Nominees. Pursuant to Article V of The Institute of Navigation’s bylaws, “additional nominations may be made by petition, signed by at least 25 members entitled to vote for the office for which the candidate is nominated.” All additional nominees must fulfill nomination requirements as indicated in the ION bylaws and the nomination must be received at the ION National Office by November 7.
