The largest military navigation conference of the year will take place at the Wyndham Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida.  This year’s theme is "Military Navigation Technology: The Foundation for Military Ops."

It will focus on technical advances in guidance, navigation and control (GN&C) with emphasis on joint development and testing of affordable systems and system integration. One notable feature of the conference is "Cross Talk," a discussion between the audience and a panel of active military who have been in the field during the past year. Before they open the discussion to questions, panelists will show films and photographs and talk about the navigation systems they use and how well those are meeting the needs of their missions.

The event is co-hosted by the Joint Service Data Exchange (JSDE) and The Institute of Navigation (ION) for the U.S. Department of Defense.

Abstracts, written for public release and in the form of a 800-1000 word presentation summary, are due on December 1, 2008. Submit online at www.jointnavigation.org or as email attachment to abstracts@ion.org.

To participate in classified OR unclassified sessions, you must work for the U.S. government or government contractors from the U.S., Australia, Canada, or the United Kingdom. The process for securing advanced visit requests and approvals takes some time, so start early.
