Sponsored by the International Committee for Airspace Standards and Calibration (ICASC) and hosted by the Institute of Navigation (ION), IFIS 2018 is the 20th International Flight Inspection Symposium and serves as a credible international forum that promotes a better understanding of the technologies and environmental issues impacting global flight inspection operations.

Sponsored by the International Committee for Airspace Standards and Calibration (ICASC) and hosted by the Institute of Navigation (ION), IFIS 2018 is the 20th International Flight Inspection Symposium and serves as a credible international forum that promotes a better understanding of the technologies and environmental issues impacting global flight inspection operations.

The symposium focuses on flight inspection procedures, techniques, training equipment and promotes collaboration between industry stakeholders. The symposium attracts more than 300 of the top international leaders involved in all areas of flight inspection including primary decision makers. 2018 will be the 20th anniversary of the event.

The Symposium exists for the purpose of exchanging technical information, dealing with aviation system operation and its impact on flight. The discussions and presentations concerning flight inspection procedures, techniques, training, equipment, and other relevant topics, have brought a better understanding and focus on this important area of calibrating and maintaining the navigational signals and procedures upon which the aviation system operations are based.

Call for Abstracts
The ICASC is seeking abstracts on flight inspection procedures, operations, techniques, training, equipment, and other topics relevant to the calibration of navigational signals and evaluation of procedures supporting aviation system operations.
