He is a Fellow of the IEEE, recipient of the National Science Foundation Career award, and co-recipient of the IEEE Marconi prize paper award in wireless communications.
He is the author of two textbooks in communication systems, published by Cambridge University Press. He holds 14 U.S. patents.
