UN Symposium: Commercial Applications of Global Navigation Satellite Systems

The Symposium to Strengthen the Partnership with Industry will be held on Monday, February 17, during the second week of the fifty-first session of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, and will happen in parallel to the planning meeting to the Ninth Meeting of ICG and its Providers’ Forum, at the Vienna International Centre in Vienna, Austria.

The topic for the symposium is "Commercial Applications of Global Navigation Satellite Systems", and is organized by the Office for Outer Space Affairs.

Presentations of the industries involved in satellite navigation activities will cover all aspects of commercial applications of GNSS and discuss the wide range of benefits that GNSS can bring to society.

The Symposium will be chaired Mr. Xiancheng Ding, China, as a co-chair of the 2014 Providers’ Forum of the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite (ICG).
