Patrizio Vanni

Patrizio Vanni works for ENAV as GNSS engineer in the International Strategies Office.

He graduated in 2003 as an Aerospace Engineer and he holds a master of science in “Advanced Communications and Navigation Satellite System”.

Since 2004 he has been involved in the EGNOS program, at first in system operations and then in applications for aviation, with focus on PBN concepts and on the performance assessment methodologies.

Vanni acts as a permanent member of the ICAO PBN Task Force and Navigation System Panel, Eurocontrol RAISG and Navigation Steering Group, ESA ANSP Expert Group, EC MRD Change Control Board and Galileo Reference Centre Working Group.

He participates in main International fora on Aviation Satellite Navigation and he is coordinating the ICAO GNSS Monitoring Drafting Group Activities. Within Euromed GNSS II/MEDUSA, he contributes in assisting the Euromed countries in the introduction of GNSS operations according to the relevant ICAO prescriptions.
