Marco Porretta

Marco Porretta received both the telecommunications Engineering M.Sc. and the Ph.D. in information engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy.

He has more than 10 years of professional experience in telecommunications and navigation systems. This experience includes the development of high-frequency methods for electromagnetic propagation analysis, decision support tools (DST) for air traffic management (ATM), and integrity algorithms for Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS).

Porretta joined ESA ESTEC in September 2011, where he is currently involved in projects and studies on GNSS, with particular attention to the EGNOS and the Galileo programs.
