The Joint Service Data Exchange (JSDE) will host the 2008 Joint Navigation Conference (JNC) for the Department of Defense at the Flamingo Hotel and Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada from March 17th – 20th. The theme for this year’s conference will be:

Deadline for abstracts has been extended to January 18, 2008

The U.S. Strategic Command has been invited to co-host this event with the current host, the Joint and the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC).

The 2008 JNC will be the largest U.S. military navigation conference of the year with joint service and government participation. The event will focus on technical advances in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) with emphasis on joint development, test and support of affordable GN&C systems, logistics, and integration. From an operational perspective, the conference will also focus on advances in battlefield applications of GPS, critical strengths or weaknesses of fielded navigation devices, warfighter PNT requirements & solutions, and navigation warfare.

The classified session will be held on Thursday, March 20 at nearby Nellis Air Force Base.
