EMCORE Corporation, a provider of advanced mixed-signal products serving the aerospace, defense and broadband communications markets, received the 2019 Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) 5-Star Supplier Excellence Award for performance and partnership.
EMCORE supplies fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) inertial navigation and its subsidiary Systron Donner manufactures quartz micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) inertial technology. Together they offer a full product suite serving a broad range of requirements across the tactical and navigation grade segments of the market, in International Traffic in Arms Regulations- (ITAR-) free solutions.
Raytheon’s IDS’ annual Supplier Excellence Awards program recognizes suppliers who have provided outstanding service and partnership in exceeding customer requirements, based on: overall quality, on-time delivery and demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement. EMCORE was one of 14 companies selected for the highest level of recognition by Raytheon IDS. To achieve the 5-Star Award level, EMCORE logged 100% scores in quality and delivery, demonstrated good financial health and is endorsed across Raytheon.
Systron Donner is based in Concord, Massachusetts and parent company EMCORE in Alhambra, California. The two companies have worked with Raytheon for several years. Its manufacturing facilities maintain ISO 9001 quality management certification, and we the Concord quartz MEMS manufacturing facility is AS9100 aerospace quality certified.
Among the combined companies’ product lines are MEMS gyroscopes, multi-axis sensors, inertial measurement units (IMU) and inertial navigation systems (INS/GPS); FOGs, FOG IMUs and FOG INS. Which products are supplied to Raytheon IDS is not public information.
