A New York City law firm today filed a class action lawsuit against Philip Falcone and his Harbinger Capital LLC on behalf of the hedge fund’s limited partners, citing the Falcone’s investment in LightSquared Subsidiary LLC.

Spectracom has announced the GSG-52 RF Signal Generator, a new offering in its line of GPS constellation simulators.
The GSG-52 is designed for in-line product testing of navigation-fix and positioning functions of integrated GPS or other GNSS receivers. In a compact portable form factor, the signal generator offers four-channel simulation and a list price of less than $10,000.

Trimble’s year-on-year revenues grew 35 percent to $435.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2011, while GAAP net income declined 20 percent, according to results reported by the Sunnyvale, California–based company on February 2.
For the 2011 fiscal year, revenue was $1.64 billion, up approximately 27 percent from FY 2010.

The European Space Agency (ESA) today (February 2, 2012) signed a contract to build a further eight Galileo satellites, alongside other agreements to modify Europe’s Ariane 5 launcher to carry four navigation satellites at a time.
The signing took place at the European Commission’s center in London, England, in the presence of European Commission Vice-President Antonio Tajani and UK Universities and Science Minister David Willetts.
