Rockwell Collins and QinetiQ have signed a global alliance agreement to collaborate on the development of next-generation, multi-constellation open service and secure GNSS receivers.

The partnership is designed to develop a multi-constellation open service offering as both companies look to help address critical mission requirements of government and military customers as well as infrastructure operators.

Skyworks Solutions of Woburn, Massachusetts, has launched the SKY65623-682LF low-noise amplifier (LNA) for applications including wearables, asset trackers, navigation devices, and action cameras.

The SKY65623-682LF is a Microwave Monolithic Integrated Circuit (MMIC) front-end LNA designed for GNSS radio receiver applications. The device is designed to provide low current consumption (1mA @ 1.8V supply), optimal gain, and a superior noise figure (NF). Output matching components are embedded inside the device. Only one external input matching inductor is required.

Trimble introduces the Trimble ABX-Two OEM GNSS sensor, designed to deliver precise heading, pitch, roll and 3D positioning information.

With two internal MB-Two modules, the ABX-Two offers a third antenna option that provides a drift-free, absolute attitude solution. The ABX-Two is well-suited for a wide variety of applications such as agriculture, automotive, aviation, construction and marine systems.

The announcement was made April 6 at Ocean Business 2017, an international event for ocean technology.
