Spirent Launches All-GNSS, Multi-Regional/SBAS Simulator

Spirent GSS9000

Spirent has launched a new generation of multi-frequency, multi-GNSS RF constellation simulator — the Spirent GSS9000.

The GSS9000 supports an extensive range of constellation configurations, from GPS L1 through to multi-GNSS, multi-frequency systems, including classified/restricted signals. Configurations are available that support multi-antennas and multi-vehicles, for example differential GNSS, attitude determination, interference/jamming and spoofing, and controlled reception pattern antenna (CRPA) testing.

u-blox Releases 4-System Antenna Module

u-blox CAM-M8Q module

Swiss-based u‑blox has introduced the CAM-M8Q GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou/QZSS antenna module. The module integrates a u-blox M8 satellite receiver IC plus SAW filter, LNA, TCXO, RTC, passives, and a pre-tuned GNSS chip antenna in a 9.6 x 14.0 x 1.95 mm package.

According to the company, the surface-mount antenna module combines low power consumption with high-sensitivity, high jamming immunity, and concurrent GNSS operation (GPS/GLONASS, GPS/BeiDou, or GLONASS/BeiDou), offering a drop-in solution product designers and system integrators.

Spirent Launches SimSAFE to Address GNSS Signal Vulnerability

Spirent Communications today (February 11, 2014) announced the introduction of Spirent
SimSAFE, a software solution that concurrently simulates legitimate GNSS
constellations and spoofed or hoax signals to evaluate receiver
resilience and help develop counter-measures.

Spirent developed
the software in conjunction with Qascom. Based in Bassano del
Grappa, Italy, Qascom offers services and solutions for GNSS signal
security and authentication.

Applanix Incorporates Trimble CenterPoint RTX GNSS Correction Service

Applanix Corporation announced that today (November 12, 2013) that the Trimble CenterPoint RTX correction service will be available across its entire airborne mapping portfolio. 

Trimble CenterPoint RTX correction service is a GPS-, GLONASS-, and QZSS-enabled correction service built on Trimble RTX technology that provides high-accuracy GNSS positioning without the use of traditional reference station-based differential RTK infrastructure.

KVH Launches Multi-Axis FOG at AUSA 2013

KVH Industries, Inc., introduced the multi-axis DSP-1760 fiber optic gyro (FOG) today (October 21, 2013) at the Association of the United States Army annual meeting and exposition, AUSA 2013, in Washington, D.C.
 
The unit’s novel design combines 1, 2, or 3 axes of high-performance FOGs within an easy-to-integrate housing, according to the company. Depending on the application, an optimal combination of axes can be integrated within an environmentally sealed, lightweight enclosure.

Hemisphere GNSS Announces New GNSS OEM Positioning Modules

Hemisphere GNSS has launched the Eclipse P306 and P307 multi-frequency GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou modules, the first products to incorporate the company’s new SX4 ASIC.

With 372 channels, the modules can simultaneously track code and carrier phase signals on up to 89 satellites, are are Galileo- and QZSS-ready, and can be configured to address several diverse applications through software, according to the company.

Trimble BD930 GNSS Module

Trimble has introduced its BD930 module as part of its GNSS OEM portfolio.
 
This small module features triple-frequency support for GPS and GLONASS plus dual-frequency support for BeiDou and Galileo constellations. Capable of receiving a wide range of commercially available GNSS signals, the 220-channel BD930 takes advantage of all available signals to provide reliable RTK centimeter-level positioning.

IFEN and WORK Microwave Announce BeiDou-2 Support, Additional Enhancements for NavX-NCS GNSS Simulators

IFEN GmbH, in partnership with WORK Microwave, have announced the release of software update v1.9 for their NavX-NCS GNSS multi-frequency simulator product line.

A key enhancement to the NavX-NCS solution is comprehensive support of China’s BeiDou-2 navigation satellite system, according to the companies. By enabling real-time simulation of second-generation BeiDou satellite signals, NavX-NCS expands a user’s GNSS signal capability beyond GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) constellations.
