Dudley Barnfield has joined the Boeing Government Space Systems (GSS) leadership team as director of the GPS programs. He will have oversight for the entire GPS portfolio, which includes the GPS IIF program and alternate architecture initiatives.
Barnfield joined Boeing in 1987 and most recently was director of network systems within the Command, Control, and Communications (C3) Solutions business group of Boeing’s Electronic and Information Solutions (E&IS). There he was responsible for a portfolio of communications, command and control and ground vehicle programs.
Barnfield has held additional leadership roles as director of Network Systems within Electronic & Mission Systems, senior director of Business Development for Boeing Network and Tactical Systems, program director of the Ground Vehicles business, and director of the Brigade Combat Team Modernization (BCTM) program. Previously, he was also involved in space and intelligence programs as a Space Segment Integrated Product Team director and deputy program manager for commercial programs.
Barnfield holds a bachelor of science degree from Southern Illinois University and an MBA degree from California Lutheran University.
As director of GPS programs, Barnfield will report to Paul Rusnock, vice-president Government Space Systems. Munzir Badawi and Bill Scanlon will continue in their current roles as the GPS IIF program manager and deputy manager, respectively, reporting to Barnfield.
