Septentrio has launched AsteRxi, the company’s first multi-sensor GNSS receiver as well as the AsteRx2eH, a single-board dual-frequency dual-antenna GPS/GLONASS heading receiver, specially designed for demanding machine control, marine survey, photogrammetry and other multi-antenna applications.

AsteRxi processes high-quality GNSS measurements with inertial measurement unit (IMU) measurements to generate an enhanced position. With the integration of the high-quality micro-electromechanical measurement units (MEMS) IMUs with high-precision AsteRx receivers, the benefits of integrated inertial/GNSS systems become available for a host of new industrial applications.
In addition to tracking GPS and GLONASS satellites, the integration with IMU measurements allows AsteRxi to deliver precise position data in GNSS-challenged environments: under obstructions, tree foliage, and urban canyons. The integrated solution provides position data at up to 50 hertz as well as attitude measurements suitable for high dynamic applications and delivering higher multipath rejection.
The AsteRxi is designed with a versatile interface that facilitates integration with a variety of IMU sensors, depending on the application requirements. AsteRxi is delivered standard with Xsens IMUs.
AsteRx2eH is the successor to the company’s PolaRx2eH receiver, now in an more compact and low-power design, with the new capabilities of Septentrio’s latest ASIC. Electrical and communication interfaces are identical to those of other AsteRx products, making integration easier, according to the company.
Septentrio has started shipping AsteRx2eH to a few key customers and is now taking orders from all customers.
Meanwhile, the company has announced the launch of its newly redesigned website, providing more product and application information, as well as improved search capabilities, product comparison features, and self-service support.
