The fourth meeting of the International Committee on GNSS (ICG-4) will take place September 14 to 18, 2009 at the new five-star Sokos Hotel Palace Bridge near the historical center of St. Petersburg, Russia.
The theme is user perspectives on interoperability of the global, regional, and augmentation systems. The committe has invited manufacturers, researchers, and software companies to present proposals focusing on the benefits they anticipate from simultaneous visibility and multiple GNSS signals.
The ICG is a voluntary United Nations–backed association that brings together GNSS and augmentation providers — including the United States, Russia, European Union, China, India, and Japan – and associate members representing key user communities.
The committee has had three meetings since its formal launch in December 2006. The second took place in Bangalore, India, in September 2007.The third was held December 2008 in Pasadena, California USA. The fifth will take place in China.
