Teleplan Globe AS, a provider of software solutions for mission-critical systems, has finalized the acquisition of Forsberg Holdings Limited, the parent company of Forsberg Services Limited. This strategic move aims to broaden its software offerings for defense, homeland security, and telecom sectors globally.
Forsberg Services Ltd, with over 35 years of experience, specializes in precision positioning, navigation, and timing technologies for defense and civilian applications. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Teleplan Globe’s capabilities, leveraging Forsberg’s established reputation and customer base in the UK and beyond.
This acquisition builds upon an existing collaboration between Teleplan Globe and Forsberg, resulting in successful contracts for the joint MANTIS solution, optimizing technologies from both entities with a focus on end-user requirements.
Teleplan Globe anticipates enhanced competencies in operational decision support systems, unmanned systems integration, and mission-critical solutions emphasizing highly accurate position data. The move promises an expanded product and service spectrum for Forsberg’s clientele, supported by additional software development capacities.
Charles Forsberg, founder and majority shareholder of Forsberg, will continue as an advisor post-acquisition, ensuring a smooth transition. Chris Mayne, Forsberg’s Managing Director, retains his position, and key management will remain significant minority shareholders.
