u-blox Offering the First High Precision GNSS Module Based on u blox F9 Technology

u-blox recently announced the ZED-F9P multi-band GNSS module with integrated multi-band real-time kinematics (RTK) technology for machine control, ground robotic vehicles, and high precision unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) applications. The ZED‑F9P measures just 22 x 17 x 2.4 millimeters and uses technology from the recently announced u‑blox F9 platform to deliver robust high-precision positioning performance in seconds, according to the company.

u-blox Releases Integrated Antenna GNSS Receiver

u-blox SAM-M8Q GNSS receiver.

Thalwil, Switzerland-based u-blox has released its SAM-M8Q GNSS receiver with integrated antenna. The compact SAM-M8Q module speeds time to market for GNSS system developers who have limited experience in radio frequency (RF) and antenna design, the company said.

SAM-M8Q, housed in a 15.5 by 15.5 x 6.3 millimeter package, can be embedded in small devices that require location information, the company said. These include asset tracking, telematics systems, and generic automotive after-market applications.

u-blox Profits Grow in First Half 2016

Thalwil, Switzerland–based u-blox consolidated revenues for 2016’s first six months rose to CHF179.7 million Swiss francs (US$182 million), an 11 percent increase over the same period last year. The company’s net profit also increased 9.2 percent, from CHF15 million in 2015 to CHF18 million during the first half of this year.
