The theme for the 2008 ISPRS Congress and exhibition is "Silk Road for Information from Imagery" and is targeted at all those who use images for measurement and analysis.
The event is held every four years and emphasizes international cooperation and sharing of knowledge in photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences. The 2008 congress is hosted by the Chinese Society of Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography (CSGPC) and is organized by China’s State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping. The exhibition will feature new equipment and software, especially from Asian companies.
It will be held one month before the 2008 Olympics in Beijing – and the organizers promise a look at a new Beijing with lots to explore before the crowds arrive.
Deadline for registration for tutorials and workshops is April 30, 2008
