Cobilsys’ ATPACK tracker measures 53 by 48 by 15 millimeters and can be used to track the location of cars, motorcycles, and pets, the company said. The product uses a u-blox EVA-M8M, the industry’s smallest GNSS module, which works with GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou, the company said.

u-blox SAM-M8Q GNSS receiver. Thalwil, Switzerland-based u-blox has released its SAM-M8Q GNSS receiver with integrated antenna. The compact SAM-M8Q module speeds time to market for GNSS system developers who have limited experience in radio frequency (RF) and antenna design, the company said.
SAM-M8Q, housed in a 15.5 by 15.5 x 6.3 millimeter package, can be embedded in small devices that require location information, the company said. These include asset tracking, telematics systems, and generic automotive after-market applications.

SDX GNSS Simulation with Four Simultaneous Constellations
With the addition of BeiDou B1 and B2 signals, Longueuil, Canada-based
Skydel’s (SDX) GNSS simulator now covers the four global navigation
satellite systems, the company said. SDX also added Galileo signals E5a
and E5b.
With these new updates, SDX said it is now possible to create a GNSS
simulation with a four-constellation, dual-frequency test scenario on a
single software-designed radio (SDR). The SDX GNSS simulator is ideal
for engineers, designers, and research institutes, the company said.

Topcon’s Intel Falcon 8+Topcon Positioning Group will distribute Intel Corporation’s Falcon 8+ System, a V-shaped, eight-rotor unmanned aerial system (UAS) in North American markets.
Announced at Intergeo 2016 in Hamburg, Germany, the Intel Falcon 8+ features triple-redundant AscTec Trinity autopilot capability and has full electronic system redundancy, the company said. It also includes the Intel Cockpit ground control and Powerpack smart battery system.

Thalwil, Switzerland-based u-blox has announced that Nikken Lease is
using the company’s GNSS module, EVA-7M, for its new trackable pallet
called Transeeker. The unit also incorporates u-blox’ LISA-U200-62
cellular module, with CellLocate hybrid positioning technology that
works with GPS data, the company said.
Nikken Lease offers customers in Japan the GNSS-enabled Transeeker
pallet as part of a rental service. Made of plastic, the pallets are
reusable to offer an ecological alternative to the wooden counterpart,
the company said.
Trimble has released the SX10 scanning total station that merges high-speed 3D scanning, imaging technology, and total station measurements for surveyors, the company said.
"This is the top one or two [products] we have launched in the 20 years I’ve been here," said Ron Bisio, Trimble geospatial division vice president, at a media day in Westminster, Colorado, October 5.

Septentrio_PolaRx5TRSeptentrio has received a contract from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) for 35 PolaRx5 GNSS receivers, the company said. The receivers, which consist of 25 reference stations and 10 timing instruments, will be used in the NASA Global GNSS Network (GGN).
In other company news, Septentrio rolled out its new PolaRx5TR GNSS receiver. The unit has 544 hardware channels, features a calibration circuit, and supports all major constellations including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, and IRNSS, the company said.

The GSS200D comprises field-based hardware and a secure data server for automatic capture and analysis of GNSS radio frequency interference. According to the Paignton, UK–based company, deployments of GSS200D probes provide users with a thorough understanding of the RF interference (RFI) environment at sites of interest.
