Hemisphere GNSS and Carlson Software have released the Hemisphere S321 and Carlson BRx6 receivers for land surveying, construction fieldwork, and marine operations.
The lightweight and compact new receivers work with GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo, the company said. The receivers also incorporate real-time kinematic (RTK) and L-band corrections, including optimization for Hemisphere’s subscription-based Atlas GNSS global correction service, Hemisphere said.

"Even though receivers today are much lighter than they were just five years ago, our customers in surveying and construction tell us they want receivers that are even lighter and more compact," said Karl Nicholas, Carlson Software director of special projects.
The new receivers are based on Hemisphere’s Athena RTK engine to process multiple constellations and the Atlas GNSS correction signals, the company said. The receivers also feature SureFix technology, which has proprietary algorithms and various inputs to give a quality indicator for particular points, the company said.
Both companies previously worked together on the design and production of Carlson’s BRx5 GNSS receiver, which was also branded the Hemisphere S320. The companies are displaying their GNSS receivers this week in Hamburg, Germany, at the InterGEO trade fair.
