K. S. Parikh, Outstanding Scientist, received Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication in the year 1986.

He joined Space Applications Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation, India as an RF and Microwave engineer. He was involved in the design, development and space qualification of satellite payload systems for communication satellites, and was also responsible for the development of high power passive microwave components for satellite communication payload.

Parikh was instrumental for the establishment of high power test facility for payload components. He was Associate Project Director for GSAT-6 Communication Satellite Payload and IRNSS Satellite Critical Technology development.

Currently he is the Associate Program Director for realization of all Communication and Navigation Payloads at SAC, ISRO. He was involved with the development of satcom ground systems for mobile satellite service and satellite navigation user receiver for the IRNSS navigation system. He is Deputy Director of Satcom and Navigation Payload Area.

Parikh has received ISRO Team Awards for realization of INSAT-4CR communication payload and IRNSS navigation user receivers.
