UnicoreComm Offers GPS/BeiDou Units, One with Integrated Inertial MEMS

Unicore Communications, Inc. offers the UM220-INS, a BeiDou/GPS+inertial MEMS dual system inertial navigation module for in-dash automotive navigation and high-end navigation, and the UB280, a BeiDou/GPS dual-System dual-antenna high precision heading board for precise RTK position and heading.

Unicore Communications, Inc. offers the UM220-INS, a BeiDou/GPS+inertial MEMS dual system inertial navigation module for in-dash automotive navigation and high-end navigation, and the UB280, a BeiDou/GPS dual-System dual-antenna high precision heading board for precise RTK position and heading.

In addition to its dual-system GNSS navigation, UM220-INS features a built in six-axis (gyroscope and accelerometer, each with three axes operation) microelectromechanical system (MEMS) inertial sensor and can output GNSS+MEMS inertial positions. According to UnicoreComm, the solution fusing GNSS and inertial MEMS enables car navigation devices to provide a continuous and stable position under complicated environment such as in parking garages and tunnels, regardless of satellite visibility.

The UB280 is based on Unicore’s BeiDou compatible multi-system GNSS system on a chip and features low power design and dual-antenna input, UnicoreComm says, and can offer millimeter-level carrier phase observation value and centimeter-level RTK positioning accuracy, and supports multi-path mitigation.
