Rosum names Brad Anderson as CEO

Rosum Corporation, the Mountain View, California–based supplier of timing and positioning technology that combines GPS and broadcast television signals, has named Brad Anderson as the company’s new chief executive officer.

Rosum Corporation, the Mountain View, California–based supplier of timing and positioning technology that combines GPS and broadcast television signals, has named Brad Anderson as the company’s new chief executive officer.

Anderson brings more than 18 years of experience in high-technology product and service companies and a deep experience in positioning and timing technology. He has held leadership positions with companies such as u-Nav Microelectronics, Navman, and Conexant Systems and succeeds Skip Speaks, who has led Rosum for the past five years. Speaks will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors.

Anderson most recently served as president of SigNav Inc., a fabless semiconductor start-company specializing in communication synchronization products used in femtocell, WiMAX, macrocell, and other telecommunications networks. In that role he was responsible for the general management of SigNav’s U.S. operations as well as new product definition for the global market.

Anderson began his management career with the launch of his own company, Network Cable Systems, Inc., in 1985. Later, Anderson joined Stanford Telecommunications, a company founded by Rosum’s chairman and co-founder, James Spilker. Anderson holds a BSEE and an MBA with experience in telecommunications, business development, sales, and marketing.
