Cavli Wireless Introduces CQM220 Cellular IoT Module with Integrated GNSS Support at CES 2024

At CES 2024, Cavli Wireless unveiled its 5G RedCap CQM220 Cellular IoT Module, highlighting its integrated GNSS support tailored for precise tracking applications across various industries.

The CQM220 stands as Cavli Wireless’ flagship 5G RedCap cellular IoT module, adhering to 3GPP release 17 standards, designed for advanced IoT and M2M applications. With robust data bandwidth capabilities of up to 226Mbps in downlink and 121Mbps in uplink, the module ensures rapid and efficient data transfer.

Of notable significance is the module’s integrated GNSS feature, marking its potential benefits for precise tracking applications. This feature is especially interesting for sectors like Asset Tracking and Vehicular Telemetry Systems. By coupling this precision with a Linux-based OpenSDK, the CQM220 allows for application-specific coding directly on the device, eliminating the need for an external host MCU. This amalgamation of high data throughput, GNSS integration, and application flexibility positions the CQM220 for applications requiring speed, accuracy, and global functionality.

Industry 4.0, Smart Cities, and asset tracking stand to benefit from the CQM220’s capabilities. In the Industry 4.0 landscape, the module’s integrated GNSS, coupled with high data throughput, facilitates real-time machinery monitoring and predictive maintenance in smart factories. Smart City initiatives leverage its global connectivity and robust bandwidth to deploy smart grids, intelligent transportation systems, and public safety networks, contributing to urban efficiency and responsiveness. For asset tracking applications, the CQM220’s integrated GNSS and worldwide connectivity enable precise, real-time tracking vital for logistics, fleet management, and theft prevention.

Further enhancing its capabilities, the Hubble Stack Intelligence offers remote diagnosis, monitoring, and debugging through the Cavli Hubble IoT platform, streamlining IoT expansion without the need for physical intervention.

John Mathew, CEO & Chief Technology Architect of Cavli Wireless, emphasized, “The introduction of the CQM220 at CES 2024 marks a significant milestone for Cavli Wireless. Our commitment to excellence and innovation in smart cellular connectivity has resulted in the development of this robust 5G RedCap module, tailored to meet the diverse demands of modern industries.”

Cavli Wireless invites industry experts to explore the integration of the CQM220 into their projects, underlining its promise of reliable, efficient, and high-performance cellular IoT solutions with integrated GNSS support.
