André Hauschild

André Hauschild is a member of the scientific staff of the GPS Technology and Navigation Group at DLR’s German Space Operations Center (GSOC).

His field of work focuses on real-time precise clock estimation for GNSS satellites as well as multi-GNSS processing using modernized GPS and new satellite navigation systems.

Hauschild is also involved in projects with space-borne GNSS receivers for scientific applications like precise orbit determination and radio occultation.

Paulo Esteves

Paulo Esteves graduated as an aerospace engineer from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal, and has worked in the fields of GNSS and space systems engineering since 2007.

In 2010 he enrolled in a PhD. at the French Institute of Aeronautics and Space (ISAE), Toulouse, France, focusing on acquisition and processing of weak GNSS signals.

Esteves holds a title of adjunct faculty of the International Space University, Strasbourg, France.

Bin Hu

Bin Hu received his bachelor’s degree from University of Science and Technology of China and his master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

He is a Ph.D candidate at the Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics Department at University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Trevor Layh

Trevor Layh received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from South Dakota State University.

After graduation, he worked for the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, Virginia, as a civilian test engineer and UAS pilot.

Layh is currently an M.S. degree candidate in aerospace engineering at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

His current research is focused on navigation systems using cell phone signals to aid estimation solutions when GNSS is degraded.

Jordan Larson is a Minnesota native and earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering and mechanics from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

His academic area of interest is in control and dynamical systems.

Larson has been involved in UAV research over his collegiate years and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Paul Freeman is an aerospace engineering Ph.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

He received the M.S. degree at University of Minnesota and the B.S. degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland–College Park.

Freeman’s research interests include reliability assessment, fault tolerance, and robust control for safety-critical aerospace systems.

Hamid Mokhtarzadeh

Hamid Mokhtarzadeh is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Minnesota.

He has a B.S. and M.S. in aerospace engineering and mechanics also from the University of Minnesota.

Mokhtarzadeh’s M.S. research focused on modeling and control of dynamical systems. His current interests include data analysis and visualization, estimation, and integrated navigation systems.

Joaquim Fortuny-Guasch

Joaquim Fortuny-Guasch received an engineering degree in telecommunications from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, and a Dr.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering from the Universität Karlsruhe (TH), Karlsruhe, Germany.

Since 1993, he has been working for the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission, Ispra, Italy, as senior scientific officer.
