European Study Predicts $1.72 Trillion GNSS Road Transport, LBS and Mobile Phone Market by 2020

The European GNSS Agency (GSA, formerly European GNSS Supervisory Authority) predicts that the market for GNSS will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11 percent over the next decade, reaching some €165 billion (US$225.7 billion) for the core GNSS market in 2020.

Released on November 12, the GNSS Market Report is the first of a series that the GSA plans to produce in its ongoing GNSS Market Monitoring Process, according to Gian Gherardo Calini, head of the GSA Market Development Department.

Munich Satellite Navigation Summit 2011

The 2011 Munich Satellite Navigation Summit will take place from March 1 through 3 in Der Residenz, the palace of the old Bavarian royal family and now home to four museums. 

The event features high-level discussions about all of the world’s navigation satellite systems. It is organized by the Institute of Geodesy and Navigation at University FAF Munich.

The technical program begines with a plenary presentation on "GNSS in Balance," followed by a Bavarian State Reception.

2011 European Navigation Conference

ENC 2011, the European Satellite Navigation conference, will be organized by the Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN) at London’s new Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in the heart of the City.  The hotel is next to St. Paul’s cathedral and close to Oxford and Regent streets.
