Vicente José Giner Herrera works for Ineco (Spain) as a manager in the GNSS unit within the CNS-ATM area.
He received a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in physics from the University of Madrid and a M.Sc. in computer modelling and control from the U. of Manchester (UK).

Herrera has been responsible for managing several ICT R&D programs, and he has been a member of the Spanish delegation to the European Space Agency, lead delegate to the GNSS programs, as well as technical advisor to the Spanish representation to the EU GNSS programs committee and GSA Admin. Board.
He coordinated the definition study and setup of the EU GNSS Services Centre (GSC), a fundamental element of the Galileo ground infrastructure, in Madrid.
He is currently participating, as a key expert, in the Euromed GNSS II/MEDUSA project.
