China Satellite Navigation Conference 2014 Planned for Nanjing

The organizing committee for the fifth China Satellite Navigation Conference (CSNC 2014) is inviting papers for presentation at the event, scheduled May 21–23 in Nanjing.

The annual event is China’s largest and most comprehensive high-level satellite navigation academic conference. Abstracts need to be submitted by November 30 and full papers, by December 30.

The organizing committee for the fifth China Satellite Navigation Conference (CSNC 2014) is inviting papers for presentation at the event, scheduled May 21–23 in Nanjing.

The annual event is China’s largest and most comprehensive high-level satellite navigation academic conference. Abstracts need to be submitted by November 30 and full papers, by December 30.

The conference will feature a range of topics relating to GNSS, including China’s BeiDou system (BDS) that officially began regional operations in December 2012. Only papers that have not been previously published will be accepted and must address one of the following subject areas:

·      BDS/GNSS Navigation Applications
·      Satellite Navigation Signal System, Compatibility & Interoperability
·      Precise Orbit Determination and Positioning
·      Atomic Clock Technique and Time-Frequency System
·      Satellite Navigation Augmentation and Integrity Monitoring
·      BDS/GNSS Test and Assessment Technology
·      BDS/GNSS User Terminal Technology
·      Satellite Navigation Models and Methods
·      Integrated Navigation and New Methods

Awards will be made for the outstanding conference paper and for outstanding youth papers. Primary authors of the accepted papers may be recommended as keynote speakers for a “Special Topic Lecture of Satellite Navigation” at the conference. The CSNC conference organizing committee will also cover the costs of registration fees, meals, and accommodations for the primary authors of the selected outstanding papers.

The event is sponsored by leading government and industry organizations, including the China Satellite Navigation Office and the Department of High and New Technology Development and Industrialization of the P.R.C. Ministry of Science and Technology. Academician Sun Jiadong, chief designer of the BeiDou system will again serve as the CSNC chairman. Haitao Wu, chief engineer with the Chinese Academy of Sciences National Time Service Center, is again serving as secretary-general of the CSNC 2014 Conference Organizing Committee.

A commercial exhibition will also take place during the conference.
