When last heard from, the intrepid Pacific Northwest production team that gave us the very first GPS movie had just wrapped, and were on their way to Hollywood to pitch the product. (See our story in the September 2006 edition of Inside GNSS.)
After many adventures — including sold-out runs in Washington State and a Tacoma Film Festival award for Best Local Film of 2007, indie filmmakers Hallie Shepherd and Eric Colley are back with GPS The Movie for a limited run at Central Cinema, 1411 21st Avenue; (at the corner of E. Union) in Seattle.
The suspense/thriller is based on a treasure hunt game that uses GPS coordinates, and includes the usual mix of college pals, dead bodies, and plot twists.
Film showings at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on January 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13. Tickets cost $5.00. The late showing is limited to adults 21 and over.
