The 38th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS-2017) will take place in October at New Delhi, India. The main theme of the conference is Space Applications: Touching Human Lives. The venue is Hotel The Ashok, Nitti Marg, New Delhi. Delhi is connected to all major cities, and the venue place is at the heart of the Delhi City.

ACRS-2017 will bring together students, researchers, scientists, engineers, policy makers, professionals and practitioners from developed and developing countries from and around Asia to share insights into the challenges and opportunities of Remote Sensing and related geospatial technologies in building resiliency and encouraging inclusive economic growth in one, dynamic Asia. It also aims to be a platform for international engagement to ensure that knowledge is generated in partnership with society.

Keynote, Plenary Sessions and Technical Sessions
The sessions bring together all attendees to hear from invited distinguished scientists and policy makers from around the globe who have influence on our field and our future. The Technical Sessions include oral presentations, webcon, and space agency sessions.

Several subthemes are scheduled and each one will be chaired and co-chaired by eminent scientists/academicians/professionals across the globe. The ACRS cordially invites research articles in these subthemes as well.
Topics will include: Advanced Polarimetric Methods & Applications; Geological RS and Mineral Exploration; Citizen Sciences: Methods and applications; Water Resources Management; Disasters: (Hydro-meteorological, Geological and Environmental); Forest and Environmental Change; Urban/Rural Planning and Infrastructure; High resolutions sensors (optical, microwave, LiDAR, UAV); Marine Geology and coastal studies; Ocean and Atmospheric Studies; Advance Image processing and Data Analytic modelling; Calibration / Validation of EO sensors; and Asian Space Agencies Report Session.
