Yu (Jade) T. Morton


Dr. Yu (Jade) T. Morton is an electrical engineering Professor at Colorado State University.

She received a PhD in electrical engineering from Penn State and was a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Michigan.

Prior to joining CSU, she was a professor at Miami University, where she led the creation of its Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.

Morton's research interests lie at the intersection of satellite navigation technologies and remote sensing of the Earth’s atmosphere and surface. Her research and educational activities have focused on developing advanced navigation and remote-sensing techniques, studying the atmosphere using navigation satellite signals and other instruments, as well as developing new applications using satellite navigation technologies.

She has served the navigation and space sciences communities in numerous capacities. She is the current Institute of Navigation (ION) Executive VP and the Technical Editor for Navigation Systems for IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronics Systems.

She is a recipient of ION Thurlow and Burka award, and a fellow of IEEE and of the Institute of Navigation.
