Organized by the European Space Agency with the collaboration of a number of national space organizations, this intensive course will cover GNSS error sources related to radiowave propagation and interference effects.

It is aimed at engineers, geodesists, physicists and advanced students with appropriate degrees and a knowledge of GNSS fundamentals, statistics and signal processing.

It will take place on October 15, 16 and 17 at the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC) near Madrid, Spain. ESAC is the home of Europe's space-telescope and planetary missions and the archive of Europes scientific data on space. It is limited to 30 students.

It includes lectures on GNSS fundamentals including tropospheric, ionospheric, multipath and interference effects on GNSS receivers and specialized lectures on error sources in harsh environments, satellite-to-indoor propagation, measurements and modeling for GNSS, mobile measurement campaigns and other topics.

A number of industry presentations will be offered by Ifen, Novatel, Septentrio, Spirent and others.

The event features a dinner on Tuesday in downtown Madrid and a tour of Madrid at Sunday noon for those arriving on the weekend before the course.

The event hotel is Gran Hotel Las Rozas  in Northwest Madrid.
