Paul Kintner

Paul M. Kintner, Jr. was a professor of electrical and computer engineering at Cornell University and an Inside GNSS author.

He died on November 16, 2010 at age 64 in Ithaca, New York.

He contributed to the understanding of the geospace environment, space weather, and the impacts of space weather on society and was known for the development of novel space flight instruments, remote sensing instruments, and GPS receivers. 

Kintner received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1974 in space science. He started the GPS group at Cornell University in 1995. He was a Fellow of the American Physical Society.
