Markus Irsigler received his diploma in geodesy and geomatics from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. He then joined the Institute of Geodesy and Navigation at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich where he worked as a research associate.
During this time, his scientific research work focused on GNSS receiver design and performance with special focus on multipath propagation and mitigation. In 2001, he was principal investigator and project manager of a study that examined the use of C-band frequencies for satellite navigation.
Since 2007, he has been working for IFEN GmbH, Poing, Germany, as a product manager and system engineer.
