Torben Schüler received his diploma in geodesy and cartography from the University of Hannover in 1998. Afterwards, he joined the Institute of Geodesy and Navigation (IGN), University FAF Munich, earned a doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) and received his habilitation (Dr.-Ing. habil.) in geodesy and navigation in 2006.
Since 2011 Prof. Dr. Schüler is responsible for space geodesy at the Universität der Bundeswehr München. His major research work is focused on precise GNSS positioning and atmosphere sounding.
