ION GNSS 2008: U.S., Russia, EU satellite navigation leaders to speak on challenges of a multi-GNSS world

This year’s Institute of Navigation satellite division technical meeting and exhibition will take place at the Savannah International Convention Center in Savannah, Georgia. The headquarters hotel is the Westin Savannah Harbor.

The plenary session on Wednesday night features John G. Grimes, assistant defense secretary for networks and information integration;
Yury Nosenko,
Deputy Head of the Russian space agency; and Paul Verhoef

head of the European Commission’s Galileo unit. Moderator John Betz, a fellow of the MITRE Corporation, will lead a discussion "Operating Each GNSS in a Multi-GNSS World."

This annual event, held in September, attracts nearly 2,000 attendees and 100 exhibiting companies from 40 countries. One-third of those attending come from outside the U.S. Technical sessions cover the development, operation, and use of navigation and position determination systems incorporating satellite based elements.
